Read the _Acts_ of the fourth council[47] in several books. There were fifteen sessions, at which Dioscorus[48] and Eutyches[49] were condemned, and Nestorius excommunicated. St. Flavian[50] was declared innocent after his death, together with Eusebius of Dorylaeum,[51] Theodoret[52] and Ibas.[53] Other special matters were discussed, and the spirit of piety was strengthened.
