Chapter CDLXXXV: Letter CCCCLXXXVII: To the Bishop of Bangor

I Humbly thank your Lordship for your Lordship’s second kind letter. Your Lordship shall have Mr. _C――――_’s letter whenever your Lordship pleases to demand it. I sent it for no other purpose, than to let your Lordship into the affair as far as lay in my power. I am quite willing your Lordship should hear both sides. I doubt not but your Lordship will do justice. The candour and moderation which breathe in your Lordship’s letters, and your condescension in writing to me, incline me to take the freedom of begging your Lordship’s acceptance of my last volume of sermons, and the Orphan-house accounts, from, my Lord,
