The president's daughter

"The President's Daughter" by Nan Britton is a memoir published in 1927 describing her extramarital relationship with President Warren G. Harding and their daughter conceived together. The book caused a sensation as America's first popular political kiss-and-tell autobiography. Unable to find a publisher, Britton founded her own organization to release it, facing seizure attempts and congressional efforts to ban it. For decades, the Harding family never legally challenged her claims, until DNA testing in 2015 finally proved Harding's paternity.
