"The Assassination Bureau, Ltd." by Jack London and Robert L. Fish is a thriller novel begun in 1910 and completed in 1963. The story follows Ivan Dragomiloff, founder of a secret assassination agency that eliminates evildoers—but only those truly deserving of death. In an unexpected twist, Dragomiloff finds himself pitted against his own organization. London abandoned the manuscript after writing 20,000 words, unable to find a satisfying conclusion. Nearly fifty years after his death, Fish completed the novel using London's notes and an outline from his widow.
